The Why? webpage has been updated with the first explanation as to why The Capitol ought to have fewer storeys than the current proposed 20 storeys. It's all about the human scale dimension of buildings that promoters rarely take into account. The human scale is a concept that can be applied not just for buildings; we can say the same for street design, public spaces or event monuments. Did you know that the largest statue, at 128 metres high without the pedestal, is the Spring Temple Buddha? That being said, when planning and designing a city, the concept of human scale is an essential ingredient to ensure that we create comfortable places and spaces for people. |
